If you have not looked at this it is a live camera at Pete's Pond. WildCam Africa is a partnership with Mashatu Game Reserve. My first peek was at 4:47am Africa time. Lots of crickets were talking.

My anniversary!

Today marked the 1 year mark for me of being a non-smoker! I am amazed at how fast the time really went. In the beginning it seemed as if the time would never pass. Now I am here celebrating with my quit buddies. Others have said this, but if I can do it you can do it.

It is wonderful to be able to take a deep breath without coughing and choking. At this time last year I had not slept the night through for 5 years. I would wake myself up coughing. I'm not saying I still don't have moments when I think about smoking because even at a year quit I still think about it. The difference is now I know that it is just an urge, one that will pass if I let it.

So I'm doing a wonderful thing for my health and for the health of the planet. My birthday is also Earth day, so I really get to celebrate each year.

Parallels and Creative Zen Vision M

Success! The last perferial that I had to connect to my new setup finally is working. This one took serveral tires to get working. I checked the Parallels website and found that it is an issue for several people and did not give up. Now if you want to know what I did exactly, I don't know. It was a strange issue. The system saw the device, but I could not do anything with it and the software that I needed to use to update my subscription for the MP3 files could not see the device. Anyway, now everything is talking and it is all good.

I am not using the newest version of Parallels software.

Luciano Pavarotti

Luciano Pavarotti dies at 71. I did not follow his music, but I know he was a great voice in the world of opera and will be missed.

Blog Day 3rd Annual 2007 - I didn't know!

OK I missed it this year, but it is on the calendar for next year! Looking around the web tonight (or this morning) I found this post at "One Degree of Separation: Five Blogs I Found Through Blogs I Love".

Looks like it was a lot of fun and will be again next year!
