Parallels and Creative Zen Vision M

Success! The last perferial that I had to connect to my new setup finally is working. This one took serveral tires to get working. I checked the Parallels website and found that it is an issue for several people and did not give up. Now if you want to know what I did exactly, I don't know. It was a strange issue. The system saw the device, but I could not do anything with it and the software that I needed to use to update my subscription for the MP3 files could not see the device. Anyway, now everything is talking and it is all good.

I am not using the newest version of Parallels software.

Apple Computer Upgrade - Update

I'm loving my Mac Mini! Parallels installed without a hitch. Windows XP Pro installed no problem! I need a cable and a few more hours and the transition is done! I have not been working on this migration day and night, but a couple of hours here and there. The roof stayed on the building this time, no steam rising or screams!

O'Reilly

If you have never been to O'Reilly.com they have books on just about any subject related to computers check them out at least once. I have an entire library of their books and find them very helpful. I have heard people that don't care for them at all. I guess it is like any other large organization, some will like them and some will not.

So far, so good

Setting up my new Mac Mini and monitor went really well today. I'm loving the new screen real estate and the Mac OS. Next week the data transfer and installing Windows on Parallels starts. I'm not expecting any issues, so this will be the most pain free transition ever.

Apple

My exposure to computers began with PCs. I have listened to and watched the debate between PC computer users and Windows computer users. It never really mattered to me which computer I had as long as it connected to the Internet and allowed me to send email.

Now I am completely an Apple computer user. I will still run Windows programs using Parallels on my Apple computers because most of my applications are currently Windows based. The Apple or Mac computers are just better. I purchased and iBook 8 years ago and it is still running strong. That hard drive was so fragmented. When I finally bought a utility to defragment the drive, there was only 1 gig of space left that was no fragmented. They are work horses that just keep plugging along.

Sorry Windows and PCs, I'm replacing you for something that I find more reliable.
